Rick Stein x Mr Lyan
Rick and Charlie Stein have teamed up with world-renowned and award-winning mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana AKA Mr Lyan, to create an innovative new cocktail list for their Barnes and Sandbanks restaurants’ menus. The new Rick Stein Cocktail Menu by Mr Lyan is built around Rick’s; his son, Charlie’s, and Ryan’s shared love of beautiful ingredients. Featuring a mix of new cocktails and refined versions of the classics, the list draws not only inspiration from Cornwall but from all of Rick’s travels, from India to Mexico. ‘There have been a few people I followed growing up and Rick Stein was one of them,’ says Chetiyawardana. ‘His honest, personal and considerate approach to cooking was a joy to watch. It’s been wonderful to meet the man and his family and see what an infectious, genuine love for the industry and the whole world of food and drink they all have. I’m really proud of this collaboration and to work with both Rick and Charlie.’ Mr Lyan has designed the list with the Stein family in mind. Twists on family personal favourites include Jack Stein’s Ribs-e-rita, Charlie’s Campari Fizz and Rick’s Ceylon Negroni. International Sherry Week at Aqua Nueva
This year, Regent Street’s premier Spanish restaurant is celebrating International Sherry Week with a new sherry inspired cocktail and dessert. For one week only, try Aqua Nueva's new cocktail with Tanqueray gin, Punt e Mes and Tio Pepe sherry, highly aromatic with ripe yellow apple and orange flavours, garnished with cherry and Angoustura bitters. Then for main from the a la carte menu try the Beef Shortrib with padron peppers, potato gratin and chimichurri served with a sherry jus. And to finish if you're looking for something sweeter, enjoy the new sherry dessert with fragrant sherry poached plums, kumquats, hibiscus sorbet and indulgent sherry cream. The special cocktail and dessert are only available throughout International Sherry Week until 12th November.
