The Guitarwrist is a not-for profit jewellery collection, creating collectible fan memorabilia from used guitar strings, donated by a selection of international artists to benefit their chosen charity. The Guitarwrist opens its first retail pop-up in Newburgh Quarter off Carnaby Street on Tuesday 21st November. The collection of bracelets, rings and necklaces are designed by Emma and Kitty Hedley and range in price from £40-500. The Gutiarist gives fans the opportunity to own a unique and collectible artisan product that connects them to their favourite band or musician. The diverse and impressive array of international artists who have donated strings and supported the project include: KY Tunstall (who will open the shop), Duran Duran, The Darkness, Pendulum, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Enter Shikari, Stereophonics, Toto, Slaves and more. The ice rink is heading back to Somerset House this winter and they’ve got a whole new series of Skate Lates events (16th November – 12th January 2018). As well as spinning around the rink during the day, you can take to the ice once night falls as they play host to an array of DJs, artists, and even a pop-up record shop. It’s a truly diverse programme with the like of Rye Wax, Last Night In Paris, BBE, Phonica Records, Supa Dupa Fly and Eat Your Own Ears all hosting nights featuring everyone from HAAi, Wild Beasts, Larry Achiampong and LoneLady, plus yet-to-be-announced special guests for the closing weekend. Teaming up again with Fortnum & Mason, you can also expect a ski lodge, a Christmas arcade and a Skate Lounge, so you’ll have plenty of places to chill between skate sessions.
