MADE London contemporary design and craft fair
The contemporary craft and design fair MADE London is back this month (19-22 Oct), pitching up at the Sir John Soane-designed church One Marylebone for four days. The show brings together designers and craftspeople across a range of media, including glass, ceramics, wood, textiles, precious metals and more, and you’re able to chat to the makers to find out about their inspirations and how they work. You can even commission pieces if there isn’t something to buy that catches your eye. Swing by the Belfry Room to see mosaic artist Cleo Mussi at work on two new figures for a special Rest and Reset exhibit and take a moment to unwind in the midst of all that browsing. Explore the lives and artistic talents of two conceptual and surrealist art masters in the Dalí / Duchamp exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. Discover the friendship, mutual admiration and inspiration shared by Salvador Dalí and Marcel Duchamp and observe each artist's ability to play with the viewer’s sense of perspective in more than 80 paintings, sculptures and films. Using the three key themes of Identities, The Body and the Object and Experimenting with Reality, learn more about the artists’ personal lives and public personas, as well as their innovative points of view about time and space. This is the first exhibition to throw light on their surprising relationship and its influence on the work of both artists. Find at more at
